I worked here years ago when it was Spangler's. The food needs improved! Wait staff was great!

This is the greatest grilled chicken salad I’ve ever had in my life. All the vegetables were locally sourced so they tasted very fresh, and the grilled chicken was marinated in something wonderful. A huge serving. The servers were also very friendly.

Great food great staff. I eat there around 2 times a week. This is the best in gettysburg! The last of the good diners .

Wouldve liked to have tried the food(heard good things) but the waitresses were socializing between themselves(with food on counter waiting to serve) and after 1 walked by me and made eye contact....still no service! Now I understand why the reviews on cold food!

1) We got up to get our own menus and after 10 minutes, someone actually came to table to take a drink order. We placed full order. 2) Waited 35 minutes from order to food. All came out together including app. 3) Pickle and slaw on the plate was hotter than fries. Enough said. 4) After asking for check, we had to actually go find a someone to get us the check after 15 minutes. On the plus side, we think if the food was hot it would have been good. If you are regular, the service is much different. All we had to was watch the other tables. Live in the area and drive by all the time. My wife has wanted to try instead of driving up to Dillsburg for Bakers. I'll drive.

Had a Turkey bacon triple decker sandwich and was very good.My friend had wings and menu slid about celery and blue cheese but didn't come out so she asked and waitress said oh you have to ask for them. Not sure why menu is way it is? She brought it once asked for

On our way to Gettysburg for a overnight stay we stopped at hunterstown diner for breakfast..IT WAS AWESOME!!! local folks, great waitress and fox news on t.v. we were home....when we wanted dinner in Gettysburg, we could not eat inside any of the over priced restaurants in town..so back to our new favorite diner..delicious and reasonably priced..we went back the next day for breakfast and dinner too..LOVED IT..

Great food. Always big servings. Well worth the money.

We had hammock, pork chops, and steak and it was all delicious! The meals were very large. The only thing we didn't care for were the homestyle (fried) potatoes because they were very greasy. The waitress was friendly and provided good service in a clean diner atmosphere.

Good local restaurant food. Reni, waitress, was very nice, friendly and talkative. Truck stop is small but not overall too bad.

Good basic home cooking. I would return again.

Small truck parking at the gas station, but food at the diner is worth the stop! Service is excellent! Definitely will stop again!

We got an excellent steak and shrimp dinner for $13. Can't beat the ranch salad dressing. Homemade soups were great!

Wow is all we can say. Excellent service. Jeremy was awesome. Portions were huge and the food was great. They need to put a disclosure on the menu about the huge portions lol. Well worth the stop. Will visit again when traveling through the area.

Loved the food. Clean place great staff. Yes it is an older establishment but we'll kept. I don't think it needs a remodeling the ones saying that need to take a break from HGTV. You want a remodel but do you want to pay more? Don't fix what ain't broke. I love this place found by accident due to a detour .

I'm from Washington State and I haven't seen prices this low since the 90s the food is on point exactly what you would expect the service is excellent and the portions are healthy. If you're looking for an American diner this is it. If I lived closer it would be a regular.

Ignore the travel center 🙈 but definitely visit the diner. The feast ($9) will pop a fat man's stomach.🤗Best way to thank a cook 👨‍🍳 is to empty the plate. Pancakes 🥞 and home fries were cooked perfectly.😘Bacon 🥓was an ideal blend of crisp & chewy.Sausage was a prepackaged yudda yudda😜 but in the scheme of things, I was happy enough to eat it.🤔Staff all helps out regardless of table - that's huge when you don't have to wait for the exact table staff👍👁️♥️🥧

Waitress was so darn charming and friendly. The food was outstanding.

I have been here all weekend, so ate here first on Friday night...they were absolutely swamped...people waiting outside to get in...I sat at the counter. The staff handled the flow of customers really well, they were running around like chickens with their heads cut off, but in an orderly and organized manner! The food was amazing, and the prices are very reasonable, especially for the portions you receive! This is my first time here, but because of what I saw Friday night, and how well the waitresses, and cooks, handled it...this has become my number one place to eat at!! I ate there again over the weekend and it wasn't as busy, but service was still awesome! Their monster Omlet, and their biscuits and gravy are absolutely AWESOME!!! Thank you, Mary, and Hadley, and Lilly, for making my first time here a very memorable and enjoyable experience! I will definitely be coming back here!!!

We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals , I had the fried seafood platter ,but far the best in the area. Our server Christy has very professional and attentive.

Good for breakfast. Fast and inexpensive. Egg and home fries for $2.50 I think it was. Overall good experience.
